Public Service Award Guidelines

All nominees must complete the nomination form in its entirety to be considered for the GSCPA award. Attachments, such as references and background articles, are very helpful. Please note that only public service activities should be described. The nominee must be a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs. The annual Public Service Award recognizes a member who has distinguished himself or herself in public service activities at the local, state, regional, or national level. The range of activities which are considered "public service" is endless. Recent activities have included traditional public service via such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. More often, however, the nominees have been leaders in less traditional areas, such as health care and disabilities, urban development initiatives and housing, education, youth programs, and cultural activities. Professional services related to accounting organizations are not considered in determining the award winner.

The deadline for nominations is January 31. For further information, please contact: Callie Hammond chammond@gscpa.org/ 404-504-2953.
