Event Items to Note
Everything you need to know when attending GSCPA education events, such as how to get here, what to wear, and when to arrive.
GSCPA Learning Center
Seminars are typically held between 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Lunch is provided during a 30-minute lunch break for all full day seminars. Half-day classes are held between 8 - 11:30 a.m. or
12:30 - 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. for morning events, and 12 p.m. for afternoon events. Lunch is NOT provided for half-day seminars.
Off-Site Seminars (Programs not held at the GSCPA Learning Center)
Off-site seminars are typically held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Lunch is provided.
Conferences generally begin at 8 a.m. with registration beginning at 7 a.m. Lunch and ending times vary due to the conference schedule. Please consult the program schedule (website/brochure) for specific times.
Your seat and program materials will be held for 60 minutes after the event begins. If you have not notified GSCPA by 9:30 a.m. that you are still going to attend, your course materials may be given to another individual who is present and wishes to register for the class. If you arrive later, you may attend the class and will receive your book at the earliest possible date after the program.
Lunch is provided for all full-day seminars and conferences. If you have a specific dietary requirement, please contact the GSCPA CPE Department at least a week before the class at 800-330-8889, Opt. 3 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event that an event is sold-out with respect to space, you will be put on a wait list. If space becomes available, you will be added to the event on a first come, first served basis. Sometimes an event will be “sold-out” with respect to program material, but there will still be space available for attendees in the classroom. You will be notified that there is no program material for the event, but you will be allowed to attend the program and receive your materials shortly after the class. Participants who attend in this manner will receive course materials at the earliest possible date following the program. If there is cancellation or a no-show, you will receive material during the event. If an event is sold out for in-person attendance and offers a Live Stream option, you may attend through that method.
Those who register for an event and are a “no-show” are entitled to receive the program material for the event. Please request program materials no later than two weeks after the date of the event. Program materials will be shipped to the address you provide the CPE Department at the time of the request.
What to Wear
Business casual attire is recommended. Meeting room temperatures are difficult to control; please dress in layers to ensure comfort (e.g., bring a sweater or light jacket.)
If you have a specific dietary or other need, please contact the CPE Department at least one week prior to the event at 800-330-8889, Opt. 3.
