Our next chapter meeting will be on Thursday, October 22 from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. at the Circle 75 900 Building (ground floor conference room). The meeting will begin with dinner and networking followed by presentations from these two speakers:
1 - Shari Martin, is the President and CEO of the Cobb Community Foundation (CCF). She as worked for many years behind the scenes for the betterment of the community. She will provide information on an interesting and underused tax credit for Corporations in connection with employer supported childcare. There are state and federal credits which would allow employers to cover some childcare expenses and recover some or all of the costs through tax credits. Ms. Martin holds a B.A. Degree from Furman University.
2 - Dawn St. Lewis, is a senior recruiter with FirstPro 360. She is the Sales Manager for the Accounting and Finance Division.
She has 26 years of experience in the recruiting industry. As Sales Manager for Accounting & Finance at firstPRO360 in Atlanta, she works closely with accounting and finance teams across a range of industries. Her experience provides a practical perspective on hiring trends, compensation, and the changing needs of accounting professionals. Ms. St. Louis holds B.A. in English Literature from Wheaton College.
This will count for 2 hours of CPE. The cost to attend is $30 for members if you register before October 19. After that, the registration cost is $35 and dinner is included. The cost to attend is $40 for non-members and guests.
