Our chapter’s next meeting will be held Thursday, May 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Mill Starch Room. Our guest speaker, Dr Simon Medcalfe, professor at Augusta University, will be speaking on the economic update in the local area. 
 
Simon Medcalfe received his PhD in business and economics from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He has been teaching undergraduate and graduate economics courses in the James M. Hull College of Business at Augusta University since 2008. His research interests include sports economics, the social determinants of health, and regional economics. He writes a weekly column on the local economy for Augusta Business Daily
