GSCPA Hurricane Disaster Relief Resources
The Georgia Society wants to assist and serve you as hurricane season bares down upon us and our neighbors. GSCPA has compiled a list of resources and helpful links to guide you both as a trusted advisor for your clients and also to assist you as a possible victim.
We will continue to update this page as additional resources and assistance become available.
Working for YouAs many of our members and their clients are waking up this morning and beginning to understand the true impact of Hurricane Michael, we want to update you on the work we are doing regarding the October 15th filing deadline. It is important to note that Federal relief for filing deadlines normally comes after the disaster occurs, and state relief comes into play once Federal relief is triggered. Relief comes with FEMA declaring Individual Assistance. With that, GSCPA is actively contacting our Congressman, Senators, IRS, Governor Deal and the GA DOR to plea for a declaration to be made as quickly as possible. We are working for you - please stay tuned here for updates!
Also, due to Hurricane Michael The Georgia Society is waving all cancellation fees for CPE events for the next 2 weeks. Cancel anytime between today and October 24 at no charge.
