H Kyle Anderson, CPA
H. Kyle Anderson, CMA, CPA, professor of accounting began his career in education and public accounting in 1984 after receiving his Masters of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University. Kyle has over 20 years of experience working in public accounting, specializing in taxation and consulting and is in his 20th year of teaching at the university level. Accounting, auditing, data privacy and protection, and creative, interactive teaching techniques utilizing technology and online resources are Kyle's favorite research topics. In his Continuing Professional Education seminars, Kyle utilizes innovative technology to provide CPAs with the latest accounting and auditing updates as well as online resources to offer CPAs insight into the emerging trends in accounting today. Kyle speaks at Continuing Professional Education events for A & A Update and Review, Inc., the Georgia Society of CPAs, the SC Association of CPAs and Stravolo Wealth Management throughout Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tennessee. Kyle currently serves as the Chair of the SC Association of CPA Accounting Careers/Academic Relations Task Force and is a past president of the SC Association of Accounting Educators. Kyle is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), South Carolina Association of CPAs (SCACPA), Piedmont Chapter of SCACPA, North Carolina Association of CPAs (ncaCPA), and SC Association of Accounting Educators (SCAAE). Outside of the classroom, Kyle and his wife, Lani, are active in planning and leading outdoor trips for Boy Scout Troop 215 and the Six and Twenty District of BSA in Anderson, SC. An avid kayaker, cyclist and hiker, Kyle spends his free time kayaking rivers, camping, hiking and boating on Lake Hartwell with Lani and their two boys, Ian and Dylan.
