James K. Underwood, CPA, CFP
JAMES UNDERWOOD, CPA, CFP® WEALTH ADVISOR James joined Nova Wealth Management Group in March 2015 and is involved with client relationships and the monitoring of portfolios. Prior to joining Nova, James spent time with a fee-only wealth management firm in Atlanta, GA. He has over 10 years of experience in the accounting and wealth management industries. James attended the University of Georgia, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy. In 2009, James received his CPA designation and he received his CFP® designation in 2014. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the GSCPA Board of Directors. Additionally, he serves on the board for the Capital Group and is a Children's Health Care of Atlanta Legacy Advisor. He currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Shannon, son Bruns, daughter Mary Collier and dog Dexter. During his spare time, James enjoys traveling, cooking, hunting, golf and watching Georgia football.
