Beth Gamel
BETH C. GAMEL, CPA/PFS EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT A co-founder of Pillar Financial Advisors in 1986, Beth has been a financial planner for over 18 years. She helps wealthy individuals evaluate, coordinate and implement sophisticated investment, estate, income tax and charitable giving strategies. For six consecutive years Worth Magazine has named Beth as one of the "best financial advisers" in the country. Accounting Today has twice listed Beth as one of its "Names to Know in Financial Planning." During its 4-year run, she wrote "Money Makeovers" for The Boston Globe, which described her as one of "New England's leading financial planners." Beth is a member of The Boston Foundation's Professional Advisors Committee and the Executive Committee of the Boston Estate Planning Council. From 1994 to 1997 she served on the Executive Committee of the Personal Financial Planning Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She chaired the Financial and Estate Planning Committee of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) from 1987 to 1989. Beth has been quoted in Forbes, Money Magazine, Investment Advisor, The Journal of Accountancy, Investor's Business Daily and Fortune and is a frequent lecturer and panelist. She has spoken at MSCPA programs, the AICPA national financial planning and investment conferences and at state society seminars throughout the country. Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of North Carolina. She earned her M.S.B.A. in accounting from the University of Massachusetts School of Management where she currently serves on the Business Advisory Council.
