Supervisory Attorney/Estate & Gift Tax Territory Manager Internal Revenue Service Atlanta, Georgia Jeffrey P. Jones was appointed Supervisory Attorney/Estate and Gift Tax Territory Manager on December 13, 2000. He directs the Estate, Gift & GST Program for 13 South and Central States with a staff totaling 87 attorneys. He served as Supervisory Attorney, Estate Tax for the Southwest District in Phoenix, AZ from June 1997 until returning to Atlanta in 2001. He was appointed Attorney, Estate Tax in 1978. During his career, he has had numerous cases decided in the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court and U. S. Court of Claims. He has also been an Income Tax Manager, Civil Fraud Coordinator and Internal Revenue Agent. Mr. Jones is an active member of the Georgia Bar, including the Fiduciary and Taxation Sections and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court and the Georgia Supreme Court..
