Oliver W. Holmes Jr, CPA
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: In 1993, Mr. Holmes merged his practice with Raymond D. Brooks to form Brooks & Holmes, PC. In 1995, Mr. Brooks and Mr. Holmes merged their practice with James L. Williams and R. Willis Cook to form Brooks, Holmes, Williams & Cook, LLC. Mr. Holmes began his public accounting career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1973. Approximately, four years of his nine years with Coopers & Lybrand were as a Manager. Mr. Holmes was a member of the Audit Group for six years, auditing public and private companies of all sizes. During his last three years, he was part of the Emerging Business Services Group, responsible for accounting, audit, tax and consulting services to small and medium size companies. Mr. Holmes was also on the National Retail Committee and the National Governmental Committee. Mr. Holmes joined United States Sugar Corporation in 1982 as the Chief Financial Officer of one of its major subsidiaries. In 1984, he became a member of the start-up management team of Air Atlanta, Inc. In 1985, Mr. Holmes joined Grant Thornton for three years as an Audit Manager. Thereafter, he began his own CPA practice. Mr. Holmes' primary responsibility is assurance services. He also provides tax, litigation support and business consulting services.
