Eliot Sherman
Eliot Sherman, CPA Phenoseal Inc./Holliston, Massachusetts Eliot Sherman is Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Director of a small building materials manufacturer, and also a co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Venture Builders, an advisory firm dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses. Prior to this he was principal of his own consulting firm, providing strategic and operational planning assistance and financial management guidance to smaller, growing businesses. Mr. Sherman has more than 25 years of financial management experience in several manufacturing and service companies. He has worked with businesses both large and small, private and publicly held, domestic to multi-national, and foreign-owned. He is a Senior Lecturer at Northeastern University, where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. He is also a member of the finance faculty in the Corporate Education Department at Suffolk University. Mr. Sherman has authored several programs for the AICPA including "Planning and Budgeting", "The Business Plan", "How to Negotiate With Debt & Equity Partners" and other programs on controllership and finance for the non-financial manager, and planning and budgeting. He authored a series of articles on Electronic Commerce for a web based online magazine called the CPA Review On-Line, and continues to speak nationally at state societies and business organizations.
