Matthew C. Person
Matthew C. Person, CPA, is the owner of Matthew Person, CPA & Associates. Matthew and his firm provide accounting and tax services, financial advising, business consulting, and computer technical support for individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. He specializes in small business accounting software including Peachtree, QuickBooks and PCLaw. He has taught Peachtree and QuickBooks classes for the last five years. As an associate for K-2 Enterprises, Matthew has added teaching Excel and Internet classes. Mr. Person is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelor of Accountancy in 1990. He has worked in industry as well as public accounting. In industry, he worked as a controller in the health care field. For the last ten years, Matthew has worked in public accounting and teaching accounting and computer software programs. Matthew's professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, New Orleans Chapter of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants certified Instructor for Peachtree Software, and holds a Series 6 Securities License in addition to his Life, Accident & Health Insurance License. He also serves as Treasurer for a non-profit organization that provides recreational and camping opportunities for children with chronic hematological disorders.
