GSCPA Celebrates New Office Space and Honors Longtime Employees Retirement

ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) recently welcomed members and guests to an open house at their new office location in Alpharetta. The event provided an opportunity for members to explore the Society’s modern workspace, reconnect with staff, and celebrate an exciting new chapter in GSCPA’s continued commitment to serving Georgia’s accounting profession.

The new office reflects GSCPA’s focus on innovation and member engagement. The space includes collaborative meeting areas and a large, technology-equipped studio to enhance virtual education, digital engagement, and communication with members across the state.

“We were thrilled to open our doors and welcome members to our new home,” said Boyd Search, GSCPA President and CEO. “This space reflects the innovation and collaboration that define our profession and will allow us to continue delivering value to our members across the state.”

The evening was also marked by a bittersweet celebration as GSCPA honored the retirement of Jan Roberds, the Society’s beloved receptionist who has been with the organization for 30 years. Known affectionately as “Ms. Jan” by members and staff alike, Roberds has long been the warm, welcoming presence who greeted every visitor and call with genuine care and Southern charm.

“For more than 30 years, Jan has played an essential role in shaping the GSCPA experience for members and staff alike,” said Search. “Her kindness, hospitality, and dedication have touched everyone who’s been part of our community. While we’ll miss her, we’re deeply grateful for the warmth and care she’s shared with the GSCPA family through the years.”

Guests enjoyed tours of the new facility, light refreshments, and the opportunity to personally congratulate Ms. Jan on her well-deserved retirement. The event served as both a look forward—into GSCPA’s bright future in their new space— and a heartfelt reflection on the people and values that continue to make Society a community unlike any other.
