Member Monday: Chris Conrad

Meet Chris Conrad for this week’s #membermonday!

Chris was born and raised in Atlanta. He went to the University of Georgia where he knew he always wanted to be in business, but he wanted to do something tangible with his career. Accounting clicked early on for him, and it provided him the ability to be both analytical and client facing.

Chris has been married for over 10 years now to his wife Victoria, and he has an 8-year-old daughter and twin 3-year-old boys. He loves to travel; his favorite spot is the countryside town of Montalcino in Italy.

A few hobbies he enjoys are being active, playing golf, poolside drinks, wine, great food, and enjoying time with his family. His likes to go to as many concerts as possible; his favorite band is Widespread Panic. Chris also likes to live his life with excitement! A fun fact about him is that he has been skydiving! And of course, he enjoys UGA football at any time- Go Dawgs!

Chris is passionate about people and helping his firm grow. He says it’s great to tackle difficult problems while working with people. He works with his firm’s staff development group to recruit, hire, develop, and retain the best people and make sure the firm continues to grow and employ top talent. He has been doing work with Atlanta Community Food Bank, starting with packing boxes for meals each January many years ago, and helping organize and lead his firm’s Food Fight Challenge.
He has been a member for 16 years and has been actively engaged as the leader of the Young CPA section before becoming involved with SHARP, and finally landing on our board of directors.

We are so thankful for his many years of service and his involvement within the Society!

The Member Monday series will highlight a different GSCPA member each week. GSCPA is excited to introduce you to your fellow members and let you get to know a little more about them. Stayed tuned for the next Member Spotlight next week!
