Member Monday: Nick Rider

Meet this week’s #membermonday feature, Nick Rider!

Nick has been married to his wife for 13 years, and has two boys, Nick - 6, and Lucas - 2 and he spends most of his free time with them.  They are currently enjoying baseball season and his oldest was selected for the Fayette County Allstar Tournament!

A few of his hobbies include barbequing and woodworking. He also enjoys powerlifting and working on cars when he has time. He is always trying to cook new things and he really enjoys recreating meals that he has when they go out.  But by far his favorite is smoking pork and brisket (Yum!).

Nick is also very generous with his time within his community. He is not only involved with his family and GSCPA, but he is also board chair for a local domestic violence shelter, Promise Place. He helps coach his son's baseball team and he also plays bass for his church when needed! He truly enjoys being able to be a part of the worship team.

Nick has been an involved member with the Society for ten years. He is currently part of Council, has served on the State and Legislative Task Force, and speaks at some of the GSCPA CPE conferences. In addition, next month Nick will also become Chair for the State and Federal Tax Task Force.

Thank you so much Nick for all you do, we are so thankful for your time and dedication!

The Member Monday series will highlight a different GSCPA member each week. GSCPA is excited to introduce you to your fellow members and let you get to know a little more about them. Stayed tuned for the next Member Spotlight next week!
