Member Monday: Abriel Davis
Meet Abriel! Abriel Davis is the current president of the Educational Foundation, for the 2022-23 year. She has been a member with the Society for 16 years, and along with serving as the president for the Educational Foundation, she has also been apart of our Diversity and Inclusion task force as well as the Educational Foundation Nominating Committee.
Abriel was born in middle Georgia but was raised in Atlanta. She is a product of the Atlanta Public School system. In her free time, she likes to read, write, dance, and travel. She and the family like to take road trips, watch movies, and eat good food! She also loves the opportunity to experience new things.
She has even got to experience something that most people have not; when she was in college, she was a millionaire for a weekend due to a banking mistake. She was too scared to touch the money though.” HA!
When she was asked why she chose the CPA profession, she responded “I chose the CPA profession because you aren’t limited. You can be what you want – from working in law enforcement to CEO/CFO. The profession has allowed me to accomplish my dreams.”
