“It is truly an honor to serve as Chair of The Georgia Society of CPAs. The Society has been an important part of my professional journey for more than two decades, providing opportunities to connect with fellow CPAs, serve the profession and give back to an organization that does so much for its members,” said Baun. “I look forward to working with our members and staff as we continue building on the momentum of those who have served before us and move the profession forward.”
During his year as Chair, Baun hopes to help reshape how people view the accounting profession and highlight the many ways CPAs serve as trusted advisors, problem solvers and leaders across industries.
“The accounting profession continues to evolve, and that creates tremendous opportunities for current and future CPAs,” said Baun. The CPA designation provides a strong foundation for so many different career paths, and I think it’s important that we continue telling a better story about what our profession looks like today. CPAs are trusted advisors, problem solvers and business leaders who help individuals and organizations make important decisions every day, and that’s a story worth sharing.”
Baun is proud to call Atlanta, Georgia home.
