Call for 2026-2027 Advisory Council Volunteers
GSCPA Advisory Councils provide an esteemed opportunity for CPAs to share their expertise and support the success of the profession across Georgia. Serving as industry "think tanks," Advisory Councils play a crucial role in keeping GSCPA members informed of the latest trends and most pressing topics affecting specific segments of the profession.
GSCPA currently offers Advisory Councils in the following focus areas:
- Accounting and Auditing
- Business and Industry
- Estate and Financial Planning
- Fraud and Forensics
- Health Care
- Information Technology
- Taxation
- Young CPA
Council members advise on content, analysis, thought leadership, and resources that benefit the membership at large. Members in good standing with the Society are appointed annually by the GSCPA Chair and are expected to meet twice throughout the year, either in person or virtually. Council members are also encouraged to share timely information, emerging trends, and news alerts that support CPAs across the state.
Serving on an Advisory Council is a meaningful way for members to give back, contribute their expertise, and help shape the future of the CPA profession while strengthening the value GSCPA provides to its members.
