2026 GSCPA Educational Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced

ATLANTA — The Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) recently announced its scholarship award recipients for the 2025-26 academic year. Scholarships ranging from $1,000-$5,000, for a total of $164,700, were awarded to over 70 accounting students from 17 different universities and colleges.

“Supporting the next generation of CPAs is at the heart of the GSCPA Educational Foundation’s mission. This year’s scholarship recipients represent the future of the profession, and we are proud to recognize their commitment to pursuing careers in accounting. By investing in these students today, we are helping strengthen the pipeline of talented professionals who will serve our profession for years to come.", said Phillip Buelterman, President of The Educational Foundation.

Students were selected based on their commitment to pursuing a career in accounting, academic performance and leadership skills. The foundation awarded an additional $15,250 in scholarships through the Chapter Matching Funds Program, and GSCOA chapters granted Georgia universities and colleges $2,000 in institutional support for a grand total of $181,950.

Established in 1957, the foundation helps students achieve their goals of becoming CPAs by identifying the best and brightest individuals entering the profession and providing those individuals with the help needed to complete their education.
