Wynne Baker

Wynne E. Baker, CPA, CFSA, CBA, CFF Member-In-Charge, Banking Industry Team Wynne is the member in charge of KraftCPAs' Banking Industry Team. In addition to audit and accounting services, the group provides compliance and loan reviews, litigation support, stock valuations, analysis of mergers/acquisitions, outsourced internal audit, technology services and a myriad of other services designed to meet the special needs of financial institutions. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University. As well as being a CPA, Wynne earned the chartered bank auditor certificate (CBA) awarded by the Bank Administration Institute, is a "preferred examiner" under the American Bankers Association referred Audit Program, is a certified financial services auditor (CFSA), and is certified in financial forensics (CFF) by the AICPA. Wynne has conducted training for the FDIC, OCC, and Tennessee and Kentucky Bankers Associations. In 1989 he was presented Tennessee Society of CPAs' "Public Service Award". He was presented the "Outstanding Speaker Award" by the Florida Institute of CPAs in four consecutive years and has received the same award from the Tennessee Society of CPAs for several years. In 1999 he was presented the Louis B. Johnson "Outstanding Business Alumnus Award" by Tennessee Technological University College of Business. In 2000 he was awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Tennessee Society of CPAs. In 2011, the AICPA awarded him the Sustained Contribution Award for leadership. Wynne has assisted clients in buying failed banks from the FDIC and has consulted others who started new banks. He has also served as an expert witness in court cases related to bank failures and frauds. With 40 years of experience serving financial institutions, Wynne has a national reputation as an authority in this area. He has conducted seminars across the nation and has published articles on financial institution issues. Wynne is registered with the AICPA's Peer Review Program as a qualified peer reviewer. Wynne was named as one of Tennessee's Finest Accountants in 2009 by BusinessTN magazine, and he was named to the 2010 and 2011 list of Accounting's Finest, published by Nashville Post magazine.
