Charles Hicks
Charles M. "Chuck" Hicks has over 35 years of experience working with governmental and non-profit organizations. Prior to his retirement from Dixon Odom PLLC as an active partner, Chuck was responsible for overseeing the firm's governmental practice. He has been an instructor for more than 300 programs in governmental and non-profit accounting and auditing during the past 27 years. Chuck has taught programs for more that 28 state societies. He is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. He has served as chairman of the NCACPA's Accounting and Auditing Committee, the Governmental Accounting & Auditing Committee, the Not-For-Profit Committee, and the Selection Committee for State Treasurer's Financial Management Award. Chuck has also completed the certification process for the Association of Government Accountants Certified Government Financial Manager program and received his certification in 1995. Mr. Hicks also served as Committee Chairman for AAFI's Governmental Services Committee. Chuck has also served for many years as a reviewer for GFOA & ASBO's financial statement certification programs.
