Michael Forrester, CPA
Michael Forrester is an experienced financial and operational leader with more than 20 years in the accounting field, including over seven years serving in independent schools. As Controller at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, he oversees the school’s financial strategy, including budgeting, endowment management, compliance, and audit coordination. Michael has led efforts to modernize financial operations through technology, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic planning in collaboration with senior leadership and board committees. His work has included managing financial aspects of major capital projects and integrating parent and auxiliary groups into cohesive financial systems to improve transparency and efficiency. With deep expertise in both non-profit accounting and operational leadership, Michael brings a collaborative, mission-driven approach to financial management in educational settings. Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, graduating magna cum laude from Georgia State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
