Tim O'Connell, CFO
Speaker Bio – GSCPA Not-For-Profit Conference – May 20, 2025 Tim has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Goodwill of North Georgia since 2021 with oversight of finance, accounting, and information technology for one of the most impactful Goodwill organizations in the U.S. He began his professional career with MetLife in New York and served in roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and internal audit with a focus on corporate operations, mortgage banking, and real estate investments. Tim subsequently served as a Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) followed by executive roles with both public and private companies where he provided leadership for strategic development, finance, audit, human resources, client services, and information technology. Tim earned a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University, a M.B.A. from the University of Kansas, and a Master in the Study of Law from the University of Georgia School of Law. A passionate volunteer and supporter of community organizations, Tim served 14 years on the Board of Directors for Goodwill of North Georgia, including one term as Chairman. In addition, he has served on an industry advisory board for the United Way of Greater Atlanta, and organized teams to support the American Cancer Society, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. In 2024, Tim was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the nonprofit CFO of the Year. Tim and his wife (Monica) have five children, and they reside in Roswell.
