Marty Van Wagoner
Marty Van Wagoner, CPA Eagle Mountain, Utah Marty D. Van Wagoner has almost 30 years' experience in public accounting. He spent the first 10 years of his career at KPMG and the last 17 years as a partner in local firms, with an emphasis in audits. After KPMG, he briefly worked at placement agencies and then was sole proprietor of an accounting and auditing firm. During that time, he also spent four years as a professor of accounting, information systems, and MBA courses at the University of Utah. He has also served as President of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA). He has been teaching CPE courses for the last ten years. In 2016, he received the Surgent Outstanding Discussion Leader Award because of his consistently high evaluations for knowledge and presentation skills. Currently he oversees audits as an advisory board member and Principal-at-Counsel at Pinnacle Accountancy Group, PLLC; is a full-time Professional-in-Residence faculty member at Utah Valley University; and is in the adjunct faculty in the MBA program of Roseman University. He also serves on four not-for-profit Boards. Van Wagoner received his BA in Accounting with a Spanish minor and his MBA from the University of Utah.
