Academic Excellence Award
The Academic Excellence Award recognizes commitment and dedication to academic achievement. Accounting faculty at participating Georgia universities may nominate one senior undergraduate accounting major who has exhibited academic excellence through a strong overall GPA. Other criteria may include leadership, campus involvement, and intent to pursue a career in accounting. The student nominated should be graduating within nine months and cannot be nominated twice. Specially designed certificates showing recipients’ names are given to participating schools. A small monetary award is given to each student. Deadline for applications: April 1. All checks and certificates will be mailed at the attention of the educator after this due date.

The Howard Herman Distinguished Service Award is the highest award presented by The Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of CPAs. It recognizes the individual who has given outstanding service to the Foundation. This award was created in memory of Howard Herman, past president of The Educational Foundation and The Georgia Society of CPAs.

Outstanding Accounting Educator
The Outstanding Accounting Educator Award is presented to an outstanding educator in the field of accounting who is a member in good standing with The Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA). The nominee should have at least ten years of experience as a full-time accounting educator, have made significant contributions to accounting education, and/or have impacted the lives of their students. The presentation will be made at a ceremony each fall coinciding with the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Society and The Educational Foundation.
As an additional encouragement to accounting educators, the Foundation supports the Georgia Association of Accounting Educators both financially and through participation in the association.

Cash for Professional Awareness
The purpose of The Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of CPAs Cash for Professional Awareness (C.P.A) program is to help Georgia colleges fund events that will help to attract college students to the accounting profession and to have them choose
By investing in the C.P.A. Initiative now, a return of well-rounded Certified Public Accountants will be assured for the future.
