Paul D. Bumblauskas, CPA
Paul Bumblauskas has 25 years of experience in retail, wholesale and light manufacturing and has been involved with a full range of responsibilities from sales, staffing and store presentation to accounting, human resources and information technology. Paul is currently President of PFC Services, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in the retail and distribution areas. Their services are directed toward areas that have either 1) a direct return on investment (enhance revenue or reduce an expense), or 2) a risk mitigation opportunity. He is also CFO of Mattress USA, Retailers Education Program, MVP Resources and Dockside Boat Rentals all of which are companies operating or serving retail consumers and wholesale businesses. Previously, Paul was Senior Vice President of Operations for Flooring America, Inc. from June 1998 to May 2000. Flooring America acquired all of the retail stores from Shaw Industries, Inc. in June 1998. He was District Manger for the Carpetland Division of Shaw Industries, Inc. from October 1997 to May 1998. He was Vice President and Regional Manager of Carpetland USA from July 1994 to October 1997. Paul was Partner and co-founder of SB Associates, CPAs and Consultants. In addition, he served as CFO of Carpetland USA from 1987 to 1992 and as Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Edward Hines Lumber Company, a $300 million public company from 1983 to 1987. He also worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. and, prior to that, held a variety of retail sales and management positions, from commission sales to department management to inventory control. Paul has a Bachelors Degree in accounting, is a CPA and holds a Certificate in Management Accounting (CMA) and is a member of both the AICPA and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). He received the Distinguished Graduate award from the University of Illinois in 1987. He has teaching experience with a number of colleges and professional organizations, including the MBA program at the University of Illinois. In addition, Paul is the author of Improving Your Bottom Line: A Blueprint for Success, a course targeted toward business owners, executives and staff needing to immediately improve personal and company performance.
