Tommy is the partner-in-charge of Aprio's Retail, Franchise & Hospitality group. His national practice focuses on mid-sized retail, franchise and hospitality companies and real estate firms. He represents franchisors and multi-unit franchisees in the restaurant and various retail industries, as well as commercial real estate developers, land and property owners. Tommy's team is dedicated to advising their clients on what's next by tailoring a suite of services built around their current and future needs. Tommy's team at Aprio is multi-faceted and encompasses professionals providing traditional attestation and tax services, data and analytics, valuation, merger and acquisition, executive coaching and asset management services. Tommy's team also brings a network of professionals that service and support businesses in the Retail, Franchise and Hospitality industry outside of Aprio. Tommy is the former president of the Atlanta chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs, a member of the Georgia Restaurant Association, Colorado Restaurant Association and a founding member of the Restaurateur Summit. Tommy is also actively involved in the Aprio Foundation and a volunteer for the Children of Conservation. Prior to his accounting career, Tommy worked in the restaurant business where he served multiple operation roles from chief dishwasher to general manager to partner. He started his accounting career representing national real estate developers in the retail sector until the financial collapse of 2008. In 2012, he was asked to bring together Aprio's clients in the Retail, Franchise and Hospitality sectors. Tommy is an Atlanta native and currently resides in Brookhaven, GA with his wife and four children. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Science from the J.M. Tull School of Accounting.
