Ben Powers Head of Primary Casualty North America & Casualty Industry Divisions Relevant Experience/Specialization Ben leads North America’s primary casualty broking teams for WTW, focusing on large and complex clients. Ben is also the casualty industry leader, guiding the intersect of industry and product at WTW. His tenure in both the advisory and marketing disciplines ensure a holistic insurance solution in a dynamic market environment. An accomplished insurance executive, Ben has more than 25 years of risk management and insurance experience within the property and casualty sector with a significant focus on global risk management casualty clients. Ben has consulted for a diverse group of client industries including tech/media/telecom, financial institutions, transportation & logistics, real estate/hospitality/leisure, retail & distribution, M&A and more. Role at Willis Towers Watson In his leadership capacity, Ben evaluates and selects the team with relevant experience that will best align with the client needs, focused on industry, exposure and design. Developing an acute strategy based on client risk tolerance and philosophy, Ben serves as a senior level voice in the complex carrier negotiation, providing both creativity and senior level visibility to the transaction. Included in the negotiation, Ben brings strategic client management, program architecture, cash-flow quantification, collateral evaluation, coverage enhancement, and actuarial interpretation solutions. This strategic approach and the deployment of casualty resources ensures Ben’s clients have the thought leadership needed to evaluate and optimize their insurance and risk program. Ben obtained his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Georgia with an emphasis in Risk Management & Insurance.
