Chris Wood
Christopher J. Wood, received a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral and Social Sciences degree (Major in Anthropology) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (Major in Accounting) from the Ohio State University. From 1981 to 1990 Mr. Wood worked in public accounting for various national and local firms including Touche Ross in Cleveland and Deloitte and Touche in Columbus, Ohio. From 1990 through 1994 he worked as a plant controller and Senior Financial Analyst in the aerospace industry. Mr. Wood became a self-employed consultant in 1994 specializing in correcting flawed and erroneous accounting records then establishing accounting policies and procedures to maintain proper records. He also performed special projects, closings, financial statements and account analysis, for a variety of manufacturing, distribution, retail, non-profit, real estate and service clients. During 2003 Mr. Wood began writing and teaching a hands-on Excel course that he has presented on behalf of several state societies as well as private companies and public accounting firms. Mr. Wood is a frequent presenter at the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants' (OSCPA) major conferences. Presently, Mr. Wood resides in Columbus, Ohio and is employed as a corporate controller for a private Company with manufacturing plants in Ohio and Tennessee. He enjoys scuba diving and travel. Mr. Wood is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the OSCPA and is also active in the Technology Section of the OSCPA.
