J. Melody in May, 1998, Mr. Farrell was Vice President of Shoptaw-James, Inc., where he was responsible for income property permanent and construction loan origination, underwriting, equity placement and investment sales. Mr. Farrell joined Shoptaw-James in July, 1984. He supervised the company's finance department, where he was ultimately responsible for internal and external financial reporting, the loan servicing department, and day-to-day administration of corporate affairs and operations. After becoming a member of the production staff in 1989, Mr. Farrell arranged various forms of debt financing, as well as equity placement on various property types, including multi-family, office, industrial, retail, and hotel projects. Before coming to Shoptaw-James, Mr. Farrell served as Vice President of Finance for a private syndicator of multi-family properties. His work experience began at Price Waterhouse & Co. as a bank auditor, where he spent six years beginning in 1977.
