Michael Sage

Mr. Sage currently serves as Associate Director, National Center for Environmental Health(NCEH),Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this capacity he directs the Office of Policy, Evaluation, and Legislation for NCEH. Mr. Sage recently co-lead the anthrax investigation in New York City and co-authored the National Strategic Plan for Biological and Chemical Terrorism Response. He has extensive experience in managing environmental and public health programs, including establishing the Radiation Studies Program at CDC. This program focuses on research involving communities living in proximity to the Department of Energy nuclear weapons facilities. Mr Sage has worked for CDC in numerous field assignments that include public health programs in State, Local, Regional Public Health Service, and International Agencies. Mr. Sage holds an MPH from the University of North Carolina, School of Public Health, with an emphasis in health policy and a B.S.in Biology from the SUNY School of Forestry and Environmental Science at Syracuse University.
