Michael Crain
Michael A. Crain, CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE Peed, Koross, Finkelstein & Crain P.A./Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Michael Crain is a shareholder in a local firm where his duties include direct dispute analysis engagements in litigation, pre-litigation, arbitration and mediation such as business valuations, lost profits, lost earnings, business interruptions, partnership/shareholder disputes, fraud and marital dissolutions. His engagements include sophisticated financial and economic analysis and forensic accounting. Michael performs direct appraisal assignments of interests in closely-held businesses for litigation, merger and acquisition and tax purposes and provides accounting and tax services to clients. Michael has also served as an expert witness. Michael is a member of the AICPA, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Institute of Business Appraisers. He is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association Commercial Panel and has served on numerous committees and task forces for the AICPA such as the ABV Examination Committee, Forensic Accounting Task Force, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Services Committee, and the Fraud Conference Steering Committee. Michael has also served on many committees and task forces for the Florida Institute of CPAs and has been a lecturer and moderator at conferences and meetings. He has authored many articles in various professional publications and is a co-author of The Portable MBA in Finance and Accounting, 3rd edition.
