Suzanne T. Plybon, Esq.
Suzanne Tucker Plybon is a partner, vice-chair of the Private Wealth Practice, and co-chair of the Tax-Exempt and Charitable Organizations Practice. A fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Ms. Plybon is included in the Best Lawyers in America and since 2004 has been selected for inclusion in Georgia Super Lawyers, where she has been named one of the top 50 female lawyers in Georgia. Ms. Plybon focuses her practice on complex wealth transfer planning for high net worth clients, including charitable planning, sophisticated post mortem planning and administration, and business succession planning. She has extensive experience in charitable planning not only from the donor's perspective but also from that of the donee tax-exempt organization. A Certified Public Accountant as well as an attorney, she is an author and frequent lecturer on estate planning topics and has appeared as a tax law commentator for CNN and CNNfn, including appearances on Daybreak, In The Money and CNN Today. In addition to her law practice, Ms. Plybon is active in several professional and civic organizations, including the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Woodruff Arts Center Corporate Campaign, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee, the Duke University Atlanta Women's Forum, of which she is the past co-chair, and the Board of Directors of the Capital City Club. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Inc., the Emory Law School Council, the Planned Giving Council for Piedmont Hospital, and the Board of the Parents Association of The Westminster Schools.
