Member Monday Spotlight: Art Auerbach

For our newest campaign, our Member Spotlight, we are kicking off the week by introducing you to Mr. Arthur Auerbach on #membermonday.

Art has been married 55 years to his wife Susan, and they enjoy fine restaurants and traveling. They frequent the Botanical Garden’s in Atlanta, and they also have a subscription to the Fox Theater and their performances. They are known to travel twice year, once domestically and once on a foreign trip. This of course has been put on hold because of the pandemic.

Art is an ice hockey fan and while he has never played, he loves hockey season!  He also enjoys watching baseball. As an additional hobby, he also plays chess and even has an international chess set collection.

He is an active volunteer for the AICPA in various aspects of Accounting and Taxation, and he has previously been on the Board at his homeowner association. When choosing a life-long career, he was always interested in business and going to school in lower Manhattan; he was just a few blocks from Wall Street! That piqued his curiosity even more about the business industry. He ended up settling on Taxation, and “the rest is history”!

Art has been a GSCPA member for 10 years and has been very involved with The Society! He has served on the Taxation Advisory Council, the Financial Literacy Task Force, the State and Federal Legislative Task Force, and the CPE Curriculum Task Force. He also regularly hosts our Tax Bites class!

We are so thankful for all of his time, dedication, and his membership!

The Member Monday series will highlight a different GSCPA member each week. GSCPA is excited to introduce you to your fellow members and let you get to know a little more about them. Stayed tuned for the next Member Spotlight next week!
