William A. Godshall, CPA
Bill Godshall joined Frazier & Deeter in 2005, after leaving the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board(PCAOB) where he served as Inspection Leader. His areas of specialty include working with large and middle-market companies in the public and private sector. Bill's credentials lend credibility to F&D clients, as the rules affecting public and tax-exempt companies slowly migrate into the private arena. His experience includes working with the real estate, energy, manufacturing, financial services, and services industries. In addition, Bill has extensive experience with complex accounting topics such as derivatives, leases, business combinations and impairment of long-lived assets. Bill's experience at the PCAOB makes him uniquely qualified to lead an assurance engagement in today's environment. At the PCAOB, he helped to develop the training program for full-scope inspections and the inspection methodology for audits of internal control over financial reporting. He also wrote the inspection guidance for derivative accounting and auditing areas that is still in place today.
