She graduated from Morrow High School and earn her degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. During college,s he began working as an intern for Internal Revenue Service where, after college, she became an Internal Revenue Agent for 10 years. She audited personal, corporate and partnership tax returns. She also was an On-the-job instructor for incoming Revenue Agents. After becoming a Senior Revenue Agent, she decided to start her own CPA practice in Henry County. Starting from small beginnings in an office inside her home, she grew her practice to where it is today. In 2014, she acquired an additional certificate - Certified Global Management Accountant. I have nothing but superlatives to describe Karen Dresher CPA. She has helped my family numerous times in the last several years and honestly I don't know where we would be without her help. She's professional, polite, sharp and I would recommend her to anyone. - Rob G. Karen is very active in the Georgia Society of CPAs. She thoroughly enjoys her volunteer work by being appointed to several committees in her area of expertise. She was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2014, where she is one of 12 people that serve out of 10,000 CPAs in Georgia. She also serves on the Ethics Committee, and is the Chairman of the Tax Forum Committee. She has also completed the Leadership Academy with the Georgia Society of CPAs. Through this program, she has learned to be a better leader and educate clients on being better employers. She also just completed the Ambassador Training Program through the AICPA. She has been through diversity training and is constantly taking classes to further her education and keep up with the current tax laws. In 2015, she was an instructor for several classes, teaching Ethics and tax practice management. She continually meets with the State of Georgia Income Tax Division and Internal Revenue Service to maintain her contacts with them and keep up with what they are expecting taxpayers to do. The main thing that sets Karen's office apart from all other accounting firms is customer service. It is what she built her business on and never intends to stray from it. Karen dedicated the business to the Lord when it opened and gives Him all the credit for the success of the business. Whether it is helping a client with their taxes, or lending a listening ear through their difficulties, she has always been there for her clients. It is true that her firm is unique to all others. It may not be the largest CPA firm, but it is the probably the friendliest. When you are a client of the firm, she does not want you to ever feel that you are not welcome. Allowing the client to feel comfortable in a casual and friendly environment is extremely important. Karen has been married to Kyle for 14 years. They have three children, Melissa, Aimee and Jonathan.
