Ron Mitchell brings more than 18 years of financial accounting and consulting experience to his role as partner at Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC. Ron is responsible for the ongoing servicing of financial institution clients, which includes overseeing the completion of engagements such as opinion audits and tax services, internal audits, internal loan reviews, SEC reporting and compliance issues and management advisory services. He is responsible for on-site supervision of professional staff and their compliance with all professional and regulatory standards. He also assists with management advisory services which consist of de novo bank formations, S corporation conversions, merger and acquisition assistance and other advisory services. Ron has worked with Mauldin & Jenkins since receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting. Ron attended both Valdosta State University and The University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Georgia and Florida as well as a license to practice in the state of Alabama. Ron is an active member of multiple accounting and finance associations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia and Florida Societies of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Bankers Association, Community Bankers Association of Georgia and the Florida Bankers Association. Ron is also a frequent speaker and presenter at various bankers' association meetings, seminars and tradeshows. Mauldin & Jenkins currently serves over 200 financial institutions and is a registered firm with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
