Vice President, Director of Retirement Plan Services, Partner Nolen is a native Floridian, who is forever charmed by the Sunshine State, but he also loves to travel and explore new places. In July of 2019, he and his wife, Ashley, reached their goal of visiting all 50 U.S. states together. They are now well on their way to reaching their next goal: hiking and kayaking their way through all 62 U.S. National Parks. When he's not outside somewhere hiking through nature, he can be found going for a run, enjoying local delicacies, indulging in his hobby of photography or cheering on the Florida Southern Moccasins at a basketball game. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Nolen has a genuine passion for helping people reach their specific financial goals. He understands that everyone's financial picture is unique, so he has always taken a collaborative, down-to-earth approach with clients, to make sure that they are comfortable with the path ahead, and confident that they are staying on track. Nolen has spent more than 15 years of his career, over 9 of those with the CPS team, working with business owners and their employees. He grew up helping his grandfather on his cattle ranch in southwest Florida, so he understands hard work and perseverance. He has taken the work ethic learned during those years and applies that same energy to helping his clients now. In 2007, Nolen earned his Business Administration degree from Florida Southern College, with a concentration in Financial Management and a minor in Economics. He later obtained his Series 65 license as a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and is licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services for Life, Health and Disability Insurance. As the Director of the firm's Retirement Plan Services division, Nolen also holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) designation through the College for Financial Planning, as well as the Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant (ARPC) designation through the Society of Professional Asset Managers and Record Keepers (SPARK). In 2020, Nolen was named Partner at CPS. Nolen has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) since 2017, is a graduate of both Leadership Lakeland Class XXX and Leadership Polk Class X, and was awarded Future Mayor of Lakeland by EMERGE Lakeland in 2014. He serves on several local boards and executive committees, as he and his wife, Ashley, are proud and passionate supporters of many local non-profits and organizations.
