Karin Gross

Karin Gross is a Supervisory Attorney in the IRS's Office of Chief Counsel in Washington, DC. Over the past several years, Karin's work has focused on the charitable deduction for gifts of conservation easements. She provides legal advice to IRS examiners who are conducting audits of conservation easement deduction claims and IRS valuation experts who are reviewing taxpayers' easement appraisals. Her duties in the IRS's National Office include assisting field attorneys in crafting positions for litigation and presenting those positions in their legal briefs. She is currently working on finalizing the appraisal regulations for charitable contributions of property.
