Robert Guy

Bobby Guy's personal experiences have given him a passion for innovation in the delivery of healthcare in the rapidly-changing US market. He has a special fascination with the business of hospitals, ancillary services, and seniors housing, and the market trends that create opportunities for success. He is a practicing lawyer, author, and public speaker. He spends his time helping companies on fix, buy, sell, and develop healthcare facilities. He is a shareholder in the Corporate and Healthcare departments at Polsinelli, P.C., named the US News & World Report Healthcare Firm of the Year for 2018. He has run the two largest skilled nursing deals in the US in 2016 and 2017, spinning out more than 400 facilities in those engagements. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Guy co-founded a company in 2014 that created and now publishes three quarterly financial indices, which have been syndicated by Bloomberg publications and carried by The Wall Street Journal. He is a favorite source for reporters on healthcare financial issues and strategy, and has been quoted in The New York Times, Senior Housing News, Modern Healthcare, The Healthcare M&A Investor, The Wall Street Journal, and McKnight's Senior Living, among others, as well as having appeared as a guest on Fox News. He holds a B.A. in Economics (summa cum laude) from Whittier College, and a law degree (Order of the Coif) from Vanderbilt University. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and two children, and is a founding member of Polsinelli's Nashville office. He is the great-grandson of Coach Herman Stegeman, the football coach and athletic director at The University of Georgia in the 1920's and 30's, and a rabid Dawg's fan.
