Duane Portwood

Duane Portwood joined Home Depot in April 2006 as Vice President & Corporate Controller. In this capacity, his responsibilities include all aspects of financial reporting and operations, financial controls and systems and (along with the Vice President of Internal Audit) Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. Prior to Home Depot, Duane spent over 6 years with the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in Chicago serving in a number of different finance leadership roles including Corporate Controller where he was responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, general accounting, financial controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. Prior to Wrigley, Duane spent 10 years with Price Waterhouse in auditing and transaction support services. Duane graduated from the University of Montana, earning a BS in Business Administration and went on to earn his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, cooking an occasional meal and playing an occasional game of golf.
