Dr. Peter Demerjian is an Associate Professor and the Director of the School of Accountancy at Georgia State University. He also serves as the program director of the Master of Interdisciplinary Studies: Accounting and Data Science concentration. He has been at Georgia State since 2022. He earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of Michigan. His research focuses on two main areas: debt contracting and managerial ability. He serves on the editorial and review board of several leading accounting journals. He has taught ?nancial accounting, focusing on introductory courses for undergraduate and graduate students. He currently teaches an online, asynchronous version of Financial Accounting and Managerial Control to Robinson MBA students. He has also taught a PhD course in Positive Accounting Theory.
