Blake Melton

Blake Melton is a Senior Wealth Strategist at The Family Office at Synovus. He is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and a past chairperson of Fiduciary Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Blake has served on the Section's Code Revision and Legislative Committees since 2015, during which time he has played a principal role in the drafting of numerous bills. Additionally, he prepares and delivers the "Georgia Updates in Fiduciary Law" presentation, formerly given my Professor Mary Radford, at the Estate Planning Institute, Fiduciary Law Institute, Probate Judge's Training Conference, and numerous meetings of local bar associations and estate planning councils across the State. Blake is also active in his local community. For the past eight years, his primary focus has been founding and serving as chair of Standing Boy, Inc., a nonprofit that has constructed nearly 35 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails on the Standing Boy property in north Columbus. These trails are widely regarded as some of the best in the state, and Blake has been recognized by the International Mountain Bike Association as a "Trail Champion."
