Stephenson, Ph.D., CPA AACSB Scholarly Academic My educational background includes a Post-Doctoral designation as an AACSB Academic Scholar from the University of Florida's Hough Graduate School of Business; a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, Athens; a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Florida A & M University, and a Bachelor's in accounting. I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the states of Florida and Georgia. I am Assistant Professor of Accounting. I am the Founder and Executive Director for Help Doctoral Students Retreat, an initiative using the Help Approach Partnership© to get graduate students, professionals, and lifelong learners from indecision to completion of their educational endeavor. I pursue scholarly activities relative to the behavioral effects and dynamics of accounting education and cost, managerial accounting, and financial performance measures, social innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. My research is published or disseminated via, books, journal articles, and proceedings at international, national, regional, and local conferences, and workshops. I have won several awards for teaching and research. Examples of association and service to the Accounting Profession, broadly defined, includes serving on the Boards of several organizations.
