David Roberts
David Roberts is a Partner and the Governmental Advisory Services Practice Leader for Mauldin & Jenkins. David received his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the University of Florida in 1999. Prior to joining Mauldin & Jenkins, David spent 19 years with KPMG leading its Southeast Government Practice and serving as the lead account partner for the State of Georgia. David is an experienced public sector consultant with extensive national experience in creating and implementing transformational strategies for improving operations, service delivery models, and stakeholder satisfaction. He possesses a deep understanding of business and relationship development, client delivery, and people development. David focuses on serving public sector organizations including states, cities, counties, authorities, k-12 school districts, higher education institutions, and not-for-profits. David's core skill sets involve helping clients with strategy, transformation, operational efficiency and effectiveness, and performance management. He has helped clients realize their strategic vision, transform operations, improve service delivery, enhance customer service, increase revenue, and reduce costs. David has spoken at numerous industry events and before legislative bodies. He has received multiple awards for transformational client work and human capital management. David has been involved with several professional associations and currently serves as the Board Chair for Camp Fire Georgia – an after school program and summer camp focused on developing youth. David resides in Decatur with his wife Shelly, and two sons, Christian and Jack.
