Brandon McCafferty, CPA
Brandon graduated cum laude from Georgia State College of Law in 1999 and received his MBA in the same year. Building on his experience with the Georgia Department of Revenue, Brandon was hired by Deloitte for the State and Local practice first in Atlanta and then in Tampa. He rose to the position of Manager before moving on to work with smaller specialty firms. With 20 years of tax experience, Brandon has conducted sales and use tax audit defense in multiple states, reverse sales tax audits for refunds in multiple states, provided transaction advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, performed nexus studies, managed Voluntary Disclosures for state and local jurisdictions, negotiated credits and incentives, drafted Ruling Requests, drafted legal arguments as to the taxability of transactions, and worked with partners and clients to formulate legal positions for various state and local transactions.
