Clay F. Sprouse, CPA
Clay Sprouse serves as the director of Internal Oversight for Savannah River Remediation (SRR). His responsibilities include independent reviews, examinations, evaluations and tests of the SRR internal control structure, which supports the accomplishment of management objectives in the area of asset protection, information and resources concerning the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of financial, managerial and operating information. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Sprouse directed and managed the internal audit departments for BI-LO LLC in Greenville, South Carolina, and Morris Communications Company in Augusta, Georgia. He has a proven track record with over 20 years experience in audit, finance, compliance and risk management across various industries to include state, local and federal government, retail and communications. Mr. Sprouse has held numerous positions of leadership in both the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor. He resides with his wife, Melanie, and family in Martinez, Georgia.
