Director Leslie McGuire, CIA
Leslie McGuire serves as the Director of the Performance Audit Division at the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, the state's independent, non-partisan government accountability and oversight agency. She has the pleasure of leading 30 talented staff in evaluating state programs. The division's performance audits and special examinations have shined a light on important issues and have led to significant improvements across state government. As a credible and independent source of information, over 80% of the division's findings and recommendations have been addressed or implemented, resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness, cost savings, and transparency as well as policy and budgetary changes. Previously, Leslie has held a variety of roles over her 26-year career with the Performance Audit Division, including analyst, team leader, audit manager, quality control coordinator, and deputy director. She holds degrees from the University of Georgia and Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana and is Certified Internal Auditor.
