Dennis R. Beresford is Ernst & Young Executive Professor of Accounting, J. M. Tull School of Accounting, Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. Denny is also a Director of Fannie Mae, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Legg Mason, Inc., and is chairperson of the audit committee of each of those corporate boards. From July 2002 through January 2006 he also served on the board of directors of MCI, Inc. (formerly WorldCom, Inc.) before MCI was merged into Verizon Communications
