Faye Sykes is one of the nation's foremost experts on Social Security benefits and retirement income planning, as well as a financial advisor for individuals, couples and families. She enthusiastically serves a wide variety of business and personal clients through her two firms, Scarlet Oak Financial Services and Social Security Benefit Planners, with a special focus on delivering comprehensive financial planning, wealth management and Social Security benefits planning services tailored for the needs of women, who are traditionally under served in the financial services market. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Faye eventually ventured over to New York, where she graduated from Syracuse University before moving to the Atlanta area. She is a certified National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), a registered investment advisor with Series 66 certification and a licensed Health, Life and Disability Insurance Agent, with additional certification in long-term care planning (CLTC). A natural communicator and networker, Faye is passionate about educating others on financial issues and helping individuals design workable financial solutions that fit their lives, whether they are business owners or stay-at-home moms. She frequently speaks to groups of all sizes on topics related to financial planning, retirement planning and Social Security. When not helping clients or immersing herself in the nuances of Social Security, Faye is busy exploring the many opportunities for entertainment in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. She is a frequent and enthusiastic traveler who loves to visit new places, both in the U.S. and abroad. Faye is also a dedicated volunteer, supporting her community through organizations that include the Decatur Business Association, Decatur Arts Alliance, Senior Connections, Life Enrichment Senior Services and Kiwanis Club. She has previously served as president of Atlanta Independent Women's Network.
